Description

You will own the reliability and migration of core infrastructure from on-premises environments to AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute on-premises to AWS migration of application servers and supporting infrastructure, focusing on lift-and-shift methodologies.
• Automate server and application migrations using Python and Bash scripting to reduce manual effort.
• Deploy and manage application servers on AWS, configuring compute, storage, and networking components.
• Implement and validate monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery strategies for migrated workloads, ensuring defined RTO/RPO targets are met.
• Ensure migrated workloads adhere to client security and audit standards by implementing IAM roles, security groups, and encryption.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Strong background in on-premises to AWS migration projects.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, EBS, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, specifically Python and Bash.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or AWS SSM.
• Practical experience implementing monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
• Solid understanding of backup, disaster recovery concepts, and execution.
• Familiarity with general Site Reliability Engineering principles and operational support.
