Description

You will own the reliability, performance, and availability of distributed microservices systems in production.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, scale, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters to ensure system resilience and high availability.
• Manage API traffic and observability using Azure API Management, Kong, or IBM API Connect.
• Monitor system health and performance via Splunk, AppDynamics, or Instana, focusing on SLOs and error budgets.
• Lead root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventative automation to reduce toil.
• Support off-hour releases, maintenance windows, and incident response as part of production support.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or distributed systems.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Kubernetes cluster operations and lifecycle management.
• Strong background in microservices architecture design and production deployment.
• Proficiency with API gateway platforms such as Azure API Management (APIM), Kong, or IBM API Connect (APIC).
• Solid experience with observability tools including Splunk, AppDynamics, or Instana.
• Ability to perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and root cause analysis.
• Understanding of SRE best practices, including SLIs/SLOs, postmortems, and incident response.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
