Description

You will own the reliability and availability of highly distributed systems within a microservices architecture.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to ensure 24x7 product uptime and reliability.
• Provide technical leadership and support to development, data, and leadership teams.
• Manage day-to-day operations of cloud environments, Kubernetes platforms, and messaging systems.
• Maintain security and compliance standards across infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience managing cloud-based production environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong knowledge of SQL (DDL and complex queries) and managing SQL/NoSQL database systems.
• Experience with message buses such as Kafka or Pulsar.
• Proficiency with configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestrators such as Jenkins, GitLab, or TeamCity.
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Datadog, or PagerDuty.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GPT or other LLMs.
• Knowledge of MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Postgres, or MySQL.
