Description

Design and implement observability-as-code solutions for distributed systems, driving reliability across Azure Kubernetes Service and microservices.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy monitoring pipelines, dashboards, and alerting strategies using Terraform to achieve comprehensive system visibility.
  • Instrument Node.js and .NET microservices for end-to-end observability, including distributed tracing, metrics, and log aggregation.
  • Troubleshoot complex production incidents across databases, caches, and APIs using SLI/SLO frameworks and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure AKS infrastructure reliability and scalability, managing Azure managed services like SQL MI, Redis, and Event Grid.
  • Lead incident response, conduct blameless post mortems, and automate operational tasks to reduce toil.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, or observability roles.
  • Deep expertise with Dynatrace, ELK, Splunk, and PagerDuty for real-time performance insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
  • Strong experience instrumenting distributed systems with Node.js and .NET microservices.
  • Proven ability to design and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions for Azure managed services.
  • Expertise in incident management, including ServiceNow, PagerDuty, and rapid high-severity resolution.
  • Knowledge of SRE principles, chaos engineering, and blameless post mortems.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed tracing correlation IDs.
  • Proven track record of translating business requirements into observable, resilient systems.
