You will design scalable, reliable systems and manage production issues in real time.

Responsibilities

• Resolve production issues in real time and conduct post-mortem discussions to prevent recurrence.
• Lead service reliability reviews and audits, presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Identify availability pain points and implement large-scale solutions to improve uptime.
• Generate and prioritize infrastructure tasks to reduce blast radius.
• Analyze system performance and scalability to identify and resolve bottlenecks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing large engineering projects in a Senior R&D capacity.
• Deep understanding of web application architecture, including browsers, caches, and databases.
• Practical knowledge of site reliability engineering principles: scalability, availability, performance, and fault tolerance.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and tracing mechanisms.
• Ability to automate failure remediation processes.
• Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and task prioritization.
• Proven capability in critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of experience in coding or running production systems over the cloud.
