Description

You will own the availability, performance, and stability of enterprise database platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Drive database automation, monitoring, and incident prevention using proactive and self-healing solutions.
• Manage database operations including RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, and ASM.
• Tune database performance to meet operational requirements.
• Implement SRE principles, focusing on incident response and defining reliability metrics (SLIs/SLOs).
• Automate manual database tasks using Python or shell scripting.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Database Reliability Engineer, Database Engineer, or DBA.
• Strong administration experience with Oracle 11g and Exadata environments.
• Solid knowledge of RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, and ASM.
• Proficiency in Python or shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with incident management and prevention strategies.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, Postgres, RDS, or DynamoDB.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
