Description

You will manage microservices for retail web applications on AWS and automate the infrastructure platform.

Responsibilities

• Manage production environments on AWS for enterprise revenue-generating platforms.
• Automate infrastructure and develop new features for the cloud platform.
• Implement high availability strategies including Global Traffic Management, GeoDNS, and failover architectures.
• Monitor system performance and manage custom alerts.
• Support the Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in site reliability or systems engineering.
• Proficiency with Linux and Unix services (NFS, NTP, Apache, nginx).
• Scripting languages: Ruby, Perl, Python, Bash, Awk.
• Application servers: Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, Jetty, Weblogic.
• Build automation and deployment using Jenkins and Kubernetes.
• Systems automation frameworks: Chef or Puppet.
• Large-scale databases: MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, HBase, Cassandra, Hadoop.
• Caching strategies: CDN, Varnish, MemCached, or Redis.
• Monitoring frameworks: RUM, SumoLogic, Nagios, ELK, or Graphite.

Preferred Skills

• Security frameworks: IPTables, Nessus, nmap.
• SSO technologies: LDAP, SSL/TLS, OpenDirectory.
• Performance testing tools: NewRelic, DynaTrace, or AppDynamics.
