Description

You will own the high availability and reliability of Java-based applications through proactive monitoring and incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system health and resolve incidents from Enterprise Monitoring Operations, suppressing false positives.
• Perform root cause analysis by investigating system component interactions and alert patterns.
• Manage change implementations by deploying artifacts to production within approved windows and securing CAB approvals.
• Build automation scripts to reduce incident volume and optimize operational processes.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams to analyze defects using production-simulated data.

Required Skills

• 7 to 10 years of experience in Application Support for web-based Java environments.
• Proficiency in Java, PL/SQL, and Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills in Unix Shell Scripting, SQL queries, and networking.
• Hands-on experience building application deployment pipelines using Jenkins.
• Practical knowledge of Git and Maven.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Working knowledge of ITSM processes, specifically Incident, Change, and Problem Management.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of PCF Cloud.
