Description

You will own the design and implementation of observability strategies and Splunk-driven monitoring systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design observability strategies using OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing, metrics, and logging.
• Instrument Java and Python microservices using Otel SDKs and auto-instrumentation tools.
• Develop Splunk dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide actionable system insights.
• Automate monitoring and alerting pipelines to proactively detect and resolve issues.
• Drive adoption of SRE best practices including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Splunk development, including dashboards, visualizations, and custom applications.
• Expert-level knowledge of Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) and complex query building.
• Proficiency in both XML and Dashboard Studio development.
• Experience implementing KV stores, lookups, and data model acceleration.
• Ability to customize dashboards using XML, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Splunk Certified Developer or Splunk Certified Admin certification.

Preferred Skills

• Prior web development experience using Java, XML, JavaScript, or AJAX.
