Description

You will own the reliability, performance, and automation of distributed microservices systems in production.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support microservices and distributed systems in production environments.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters including scaling, upgrades, and troubleshooting for high availability.
• Implement API management using Azure APIM, Kong, or IBM APIC for traffic routing, rate limiting, and observability.
• Drive site reliability engineering practices using error budgets, SLIs/SLOs, and postmortems to reduce toil.
• Resolve production incidents through root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes deployment management, scaling, and cluster operations.
• Proficiency in observability tools: Splunk, AppDynamics, or Instana for metrics, traces, and dashboards.
• Hands-on experience with API gateways: Azure API Management (APIM), Kong, or IBM API Connect.
• Strong background in SRE principles, including automation, incident response, and release support.
• Ability to perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and system reliability improvements.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with off-hour incident support and maintenance windows.
• Knowledge of log analytics and SLO-based monitoring strategies.
