Description

You will manage on-premises infrastructure, focusing on physical and virtual Linux systems and data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, patch, and configure physical and virtual Linux servers and ESXi hosts.
• Manage VMware vSphere administration, including upgrades and patch management.
• Execute hardware deployment tasks such as racking, cabling, and managing power distribution systems like PDUs and UPSes.
• Monitor infrastructure performance using Nagios, SNMP, Splunk ITSI, and PRTG.
• Coordinate with facilities to manage server room cooling and environmental issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or systems administration.
• Proficiency with VMware vSphere and ESXi host management.
• Hands-on experience with Dell iDrac and physical server deployment.
• Familiarity with Bash and Python scripting.
• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies in virtualized environments.
• Understanding of network topologies, including VLANs and switch configuration.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools: Nagios, SNMP, Splunk ITSI, and PRTG.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
• Degree in any field of study.
