Description

You will own the technical design, legacy analysis, and migration support for Smalltalk-based applications.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical designs using MVC patterns.
• Analyze existing Smalltalk legacy systems to generate detailed functionality reports based on class hierarchy and methods.
• Support the application migration team by providing functional knowledge and comparing Smalltalk code against Java code post-migration.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve system reliability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Smalltalk and strong object-oriented programming concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix.
• Experience with Java and GitHub for version control.
• Ability to interpret legacy codebases and provide technical direction.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
