Description

You will design, develop, and execute test strategies and procedures for smart metering solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform protocol testing for metering standards like DLMS/COSEM and ANSI C12.19.
• Conduct RF communication testing across mesh, cellular, and proprietary protocols, monitoring KPI performance.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Python or C#.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues spanning meter, RF network, and system layers.
• Define, track, and report performance KPIs for RF and protocol layers in lab and field settings.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in smart meter testing, validation, and certification.
• Strong knowledge of DLMS/COSEM and ANSI C12.19 metering protocols.
• Hands-on experience with cellular technologies (LTE, NB-IoT, 4G/5G) and RF KPI analysis.
• Solid background in test automation using Python or C#.
• Proficiency with Linux environments (mandatory).
• Experience with Azure DevOps for test management and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cellular/network tools like QXDM and NetHawk Analyzer.
• Knowledge of system integration testing for IoT/Smart Grid devices.

Preferred Skills

• Strong debugging skills capable of replicating field issues in the lab.
