Description

You will administer and manage Snowflake environments across Dev, Test, UAT, and Prod stages. Your focus is on system stability, security, and performance optimization within the Snowflake Data Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Administer Snowflake accounts, including setup, configuration, and upgrades for virtual warehouses, databases, schemas, and resource monitors.
• Manage security and access control by defining users, roles, privileges, and hierarchies, integrating with SSO providers like Azure AD or Okta.
• Monitor system performance, query execution, and warehouse utilization to ensure efficient resource usage.
• Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and troubleshoot complex issues using strong analytical skills.
• Participate in account configuration and maintain stability across Linux/Unix environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Snowflake Administrator.
• Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, including virtual warehouses, micro-partitions, Time Travel, and Fail-safe.
• Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot system issues and manage stakeholders effectively.
• Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake replication, failover, and data sharing.
• Familiarity with automation using Python or PowerShell.
• Experience integrating Snowflake with ETL tools such as Informatica, Azure Data Factory (ADF), or Airflow.
