Description

You will manage a large enterprise Snowflake database environment to ensure efficient and reliable application performance.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Execute Snowflake backups and restores manually and through automation tools.
• Analyze production workloads to develop strategies for database scale and efficiency.
• Manage performance tuning, capacity planning, warehouse optimization, and cloud spend.
• Lead cross-regional data replication and implement database recovery features.
• Monitor database health, user access, and data/batch loading processes.

Required Skills

• 12-15 years of database administration experience, specifically as a Snowflake DBA.
• Expertise in managing Snowflake roles, permissions, and user access.
• Hands-on experience with Azure compute, storage, and security services.
• Proficiency in SQL and Unix shell scripting.
• Strong data modeling and database design skills.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning, machine sizing, and disk space capacity.
• Deep understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Knowledge of the Cloud Data ecosystem.

Preferred Skills

• SnowPro Advanced Database Administrator certification.
• Experience with Oracle database administration.
