Description

You will manage and optimize a large enterprise Snowflake database environment, ensuring reliable application performance and efficient resource utilization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform Snowflake backups, restores, and database recovery using manual or specialized tools.
• Lead cross-regional data replication and implement disaster recovery planning.
• Analyze production workloads to develop strategies for scale, efficiency, and warehouse tuning.
• Manage cloud spend, capacity planning, and resource utilization on Azure.
• Monitor database health, user access, and data/batch loading processes.

Required Skills

• 12-15 years of database administration experience, specifically as a Snowflake DBA.
• Expertise in managing Snowflake roles, permissions, and security.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Unix shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Azure compute, storage, and security services.
• Deep understanding of the Cloud Data ecosystem and data modeling.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning, machine sizing, and disk space capacity.
• Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle.

Preferred Skills

• SnowPro Advanced Database Administrator certification.
• Experience with Oracle database administration.

Education: BCA, MCA, BE, BTech, or equivalent.
