Description

You will design, optimize, and manage Snowflake compute resources and data architectures.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-architect virtual warehouses to improve cost efficiency and resource utilization.
• Implement right-sizing strategies, manage auto-suspend/resume, and consolidate resources.
• Configure Resource Monitors to prevent cost overruns and maintain budget adherence.
• Develop automation and data manipulation workflows using Snowflake tasks and SPCS.
• Optimize ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines within the Snowflake environment.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with the Snowflake data platform.
• Expert-level SQL proficiency with a focus on query optimization and performance tuning.
• Deep knowledge of Snowflake architecture, including micro-partitions, caching, clustering keys, and virtual warehouses.
• Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for automation.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience managing cloud storage solutions such as S3 or Azure Blob Storage.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Engineering, or a quantitative field.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Snowflake certifications such as SnowPro Advanced Architect or SnowPro Advanced Administrator.
