Description

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of end-to-end migration processes from various sources into a Snowflake data warehouse.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Migrate Hadoop and Greenplum systems to Snowflake using re-engineering or lift-and-shift approaches.
• Rewrite Hive queries into Snowflake SQL to leverage automatic query optimization and scaling.
• Design and implement scalable data architectures that support business intelligence and analytics requirements.
• Implement data controls to ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and data standards.
• Identify performance optimization strategies and troubleshoot bottlenecks in data integration and loading processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture or engineering.
• Advanced expertise in Snowflake architecture and implementation.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop and Hive ecosystems.
• Proficiency in Snowflake SQL.
• Experience with Greenplum systems.
• Strong knowledge of Python or Java.
• Experience with data mapping, profiling, and data integration tools.
• Ability to perform unit testing, coding, and detailed documentation of data engineering processes.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with AWS, DataStage, Informatica, Automic, or Control-M.
