Description

You will lead the migration from on-premise Netezza data centers to Snowflake cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conversion process from on-premise Netezza to Snowflake.
• Develop methodologies to optimize data migration workflows and guide end-users through the transition.
• Manage onshore and offshore third-party vendors to ensure accountability and on-time delivery.
• Act as the primary technical expert to facilitate all conversion activities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience building highly scalable data warehouse systems.
• Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, processing, and cloud development.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake Admin Management and data ingestion via Snowpipe.
• Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL, including complex query writing and stored procedure development.
• Proven ability in SQL query tuning, database performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning.
• Experience with AWS, on-premise environments, and CI/CD or DevOps tools.
• Exposure to data streaming tools such as Kafka or Kinesis.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

Preferred Skills

• SnowPro Snowflake Certification.
