Description

Design and implement scalable, secure Snowflake data architectures for high-volume financial data.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of enterprise-wide data models and standards within Snowflake.
• Architect modern, cloud-native data platforms supporting high-velocity financial data streams.
• Optimize compute, storage, and processing costs while tuning performance for large datasets.
• Build and standardize Data Development Platforms (DDP) to automate pipelines and data marts.
• Mentor data engineers and advise leadership on data strategy, governance, and security.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Architecture.
• Extensive hands-on expertise in Snowflake architecture, implementation, and optimization.
• Strong background in the financial services domain (banking, markets, or asset management).
• Deep understanding of data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and lakehouse patterns.
• Proficiency in SQL and data performance tuning for complex workloads.
• Experience with Data Development Platforms (DDP) and engineering frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern tools such as dbt and orchestration platforms.
• Proven ability to design cost-effective, high-performance cloud data platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leveraging automation frameworks and AI-driven agents for data efficiency.
• Track record of leading legacy modernization and migration initiatives.
