Description

You will own the migration and optimization of data infrastructure from DB2 to Snowflake.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute schema migrations, including indexes, constraints, and stored procedures.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for historical loads and ongoing ingestion.
• Implement identity and access management features within Snowflake.
• Optimize query performance and resolve scalability issues.
• Define and enforce data archival strategies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Snowflake SQL and Snowproc.
• Extensive background in migrating from DB2 to Snowflake.
• Proficiency in building and monitoring ETL and ELT processes.
• Experience with CI/CD for data orchestration and workflow automation.
• Strong SQL skills for query optimization and performance tuning.
• Ability to design and implement data validation and testing trackers.
• Experience collaborating with SMEs to write test cases for data comparability.

Preferred Skills

• Background in Netezza to Snowflake migration.
