Description

You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and warehouse architectures using Snowflake, SQL, and ETL tools.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable data models, schemas, and warehouse architectures for analytics and reporting.
• Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, clustering, caching, and warehouse sizing.
• Manage data ingestion from structured and unstructured sources, including databases, APIs, and streaming feeds.
• Implement and enforce data quality, governance, and security standards across data flows.
• Automate workflows and orchestration using Python or Airflow, and implement CI/CD practices for deployment.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, with 2+ years focused on Snowflake.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Snowflake scripting (SnowSQL), including performance tuning.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Matillion, dbt, Talend, ADF, or Airflow.
• Solid understanding of data modeling techniques (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault).
• Knowledge of Python or Scala for data transformations and workflow automation.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development processes.
• Strong understanding of data security, encryption, masking, and RBAC in Snowflake.
• Experience integrating Snowflake with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services like S3 or Azure Blob.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with streaming data technologies like Kafka or Kinesis.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for downstream reporting.
