Description

You will build and maintain data pipelines and warehousing solutions using Snowflake.

You will own the design and development of ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data moves reliably from source systems to target applications. This includes creating detailed data mapping specifications, implementing audit and reconciliation processes, and optimizing code performance through internal reviews. You will document technical designs for stakeholders and apply Agile Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop system components for ETL/ELT processes to move data from sources to targets.
• Participate in data modeling sessions and create detailed data mapping specifications.
• Develop processes for audit, balancing, reconciliation, and error handling.
• Perform internal design and code reviews to ensure quality and performance optimization.
• Document data flows and technical designs for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Data Warehousing experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on implementation experience with Snowflake concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Python scripting and Unix.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and code versioning using GitHub.
• Experience with ELT/ETL tools.
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology.
• Bachelors or Masters in IT, Computer, Software, or a related field.
• Domain knowledge in P&C Insurance (Commercial Property, General Liability, Inland Marine, Product Liability, Auto, Umbrella).

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Streamsets.
• Knowledge of Data Vault.
