Description

You will migrate asset management data from legacy platforms to Snowflake and refactor Java microservices to consume these strategic cloud sources.

Responsibilities

• Create Snowflake reporting views to enable data access for client reports and downstream consumers.
• Refactor and modify Java microservices to replace legacy platform integrations with Snowflake sources.
• Redesign legacy technology solutions and processes to leverage strategic cloud platforms.
• Own the design, development, code review, and documentation of data transformation capabilities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering.
• Proficiency in ANSI SQL and Snowflake Cloud, including SQL scripting.
• Strong Java development skills including J2SE, Java Server Pages, JDBC, and JPA/ORM frameworks.
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and REST API microservice architecture.
• Hands-on experience with XML/XSLT, JSON, and AJAX.
• Experience with JUnit for testing and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (Tanzu Application Service) or Public Cloud.
• Practical knowledge of Azure services and loading data from cloud storage.
• Experience managing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background working within the Financial Services industry.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ETL processes, Kafka messaging, and Python.
• Knowledge of data modeling and Eagle vendor products.
