Description

You will design, develop, and maintain data models optimized for the Snowflake data platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data models tailored for Snowflake data warehousing, analytics, and reporting.
• Architect data solutions using SnowSQL, Snowpipe, and Snowflake-specific features.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal query and data processing speeds.
• Implement data quality and governance best practices to maintain data integrity.
• Document data models, architecture, and Snowflake-specific best practices.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in data modeling with a focus on Snowflake.
• Expertise in Snowflake data warehousing, including SnowSQL and Snowpipe.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and database design concepts.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin.
• Strong understanding of data quality and data governance principles.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot Snowflake-specific data modeling challenges.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS services including S3, Athena, and Glue.
• Knowledge of Cloudera, Hive, Impala, and HDFS.
