Description

Manage the Snowflake data warehouse environment to ensure performance, security, and reliability.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage Snowflake databases, warehouses, and roles while enforcing data governance policies.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and tune configurations to improve query execution.
• Implement security measures, manage user access controls, and respond to security threats.
• Develop and execute data loading and migration strategies while ensuring data integrity.
• Diagnose and resolve database errors and provide technical support to engineers and analysts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration, specifically with Snowflake.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and core database concepts.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Proven ability to implement indexing and data partitioning techniques.
• Experience with scripting.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Snowflake certification or related technology certifications.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting.
