Description

You will engineer and operationally support cloud-based data platforms, primarily Snowflake, for enterprise analytics and data pipelines.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Administer Snowflake objects including databases, schemas, roles, and warehouses while enforcing access controls via RBAC.
• Tune performance and optimize costs by sizing warehouses and troubleshooting queries.
• Monitor platform health and manage incident triage and resolution following ITIL processes.
• Support database changes and releases to maintain environment stability across lower and production tiers.
• Drive operational reliability through automation scripts and runbooks.

Required Skills

• 5–8+ years of experience in Database Engineering or Cloud Data Platform operations.
• Strong proficiency in Snowflake administration and RBAC implementation.
• Advanced SQL skills with a focus on database troubleshooting.
• Experience with automation scripting using Python or Shell.
• Understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes aligned with ITIL.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Cloud exposure, specifically with AWS.
• Experience with Autosys or similar orchestration tools.
