Description

Manage and optimize large-scale database environments with a focus on Snowflake and Azure data engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Snowflake and Fivetran integrations.
• Perform query tuning and implement proper indexing strategies.
• Manage database maintenance including reorgs, statistics updates, and backups for DB2, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.
• Execute database migrations and synchronization using AWS DMS.
• Analyze existing configurations to recommend hardware and software improvements.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on database experience.
• Expertise in Snowflake and Fivetran implementation.
• Proficiency with DB2/UDB, including Range Partitioning, MDC, and MQT.
• Experience with SQL Server and Oracle maintenance tasks.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, and Redis.
• Working knowledge of UDB/AIX utilities such as backup, reorg, runstats, and rebind.
• Experience working within a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
• Ability to manage large-scale database environments.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant database certifications.
