Description

You will own the administration, performance, and governance of Snowflake database environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries and workloads for efficient resource utilization and cost management.
• Manage user roles, access controls, and data masking policies to enforce security and compliance standards.
• Maintain schemas, tables, and views, implementing automated routines for data purging and metadata management.
• Monitor and tune Snowflake compute resources (warehouses) to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to support data initiatives and provide mentorship.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Snowflake DBA or managing cloud data platforms.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced performance tuning techniques.
• Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, including virtual warehouses and storage layers.
• Experience with data security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting for administrative tasks.
• Experience with AWS integration patterns.
• Knowledge of data modeling, clustering, and indexing best practices.

Preferred Skills

• SnowPro Certification (Core or Advanced).
• Experience with automation tools like dbt or Terraform.
