Description

Manage and optimize the performance, security, and reliability of databases within the Snowflake Data Cloud platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer Snowflake databases and warehouses across multiple environments to ensure high availability and security.
• Implement security protocols by managing users, roles, and access controls.
• Execute disaster recovery strategies, backups, and performance tuning to maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate Snowflake with third-party tools and optimize data warehouse patterns.
• Troubleshoot user issues, optimize queries, and maintain technical documentation for configurations and processes.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Snowflake database administration and DBA best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages including Python, Shell Script, or PySpark.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and database performance optimization skills.
• Degree from a college or university.
• Experience with Snowflake and SQL Server.

Preferred Skills

• Snowflake or relevant cloud certifications.
• Familiarity with Matillion, Tableau, Power BI, Informatica, or Cognos.
