Description

You will lead the design and optimization of scalable data transformation pipelines within Snowflake and DBT.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement modular DBT projects from scratch, including staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
• Build and maintain ELT pipelines using Snowflake native features such as Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks.
• Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, clustering, partitioning, and warehouse cost management.
• Automate workflows and schedule data jobs using orchestration tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage schema objects, data governance, and role-based access controls to ensure data quality and compliance.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience in data engineering environments.
• 3-6 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Time Travel.
• 2 years of hands-on experience with DBT Core or Cloud in a production environment.
• Strong SQL skills and expertise in data modeling using star/snowflake schemas.
• Deep understanding of DBT features including materializations, macros, seeds, snapshots, and Jinja templating.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows using tools like Bitbucket and Jenkins.
• Proficiency with cloud storage integration including AWS S3, Azure Blob, and GCP.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
• Background in pulling and working with SAP data sources (ECC/S4 HANA).

Preferred Skills

• SnowPro Core Certification.
• Functional knowledge of SAP Finance (FICO), Supply Chain, or Sales Distribution modules.
