Description

You will design and implement modular DBT models and ELT pipelines within a Snowflake environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement DBT projects from scratch, including staging, intermediate, and mart layers using Jinja templating and macros.
• Build and maintain ELT pipelines using Snowflake native features such as Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks.
• Optimize Snowflake performance through clustering, partitioning, query tuning, and materialized views.
• Manage schema objects, role-based access controls, and data masking to ensure governance and privacy compliance.
• Automate workflows and schedule data jobs using orchestration tools and CI/CD pipelines via Git, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.

Required Skills

• 3-6 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Time Travel.
• 2 years of hands-on experience with DBT Core or Cloud in a production environment.
• Strong ANSI-SQL skills and expertise in data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas, normalization, and denormalization).
• Deep understanding of DBT features including materializations, macros, seeds, snapshots, and testing.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt Cloud.
• Familiarity with Jinja templating and YAML configuration.
• Experience pulling data from SAP sources (ECC or S4 HANA) with functional knowledge of SAP Finance (FICO), Supply Chain, or Sales Distribution.

Preferred Skills

• SnowPro Core Certification.
• Experience with Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar orchestration tools.
