Description

You will design, build, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and consumption pipelines within the Snowflake data platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data ingestion pipelines using Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and COPY commands from multiple source systems.
• Develop complex SQL transformations, ELT pipelines, and data models (staging, curated, fact, dimension) using stored procedures, views, and UDFs.
• Optimize query performance, warehouse utilization, and reporting dashboard efficiency for BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Looker.
• Implement secure data sharing, role-based access controls, and automated ingestion workflows.
• Troubleshoot ingestion failures, handle semi-structured data (JSON, XML, Avro, Parquet), and collaborate with stakeholders on analytics solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, data warehousing, and advanced SQL.
• Deep expertise in Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and stored procedures for batch and real-time ingestion.
• Strong proficiency in data modeling concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and handling semi-structured data.
• Ability to integrate Snowflake with BI/reporting tools and implement secure data access controls.

Preferred Skills

• Snowflake Certification and experience with DBT or similar ELT tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Python scripting.
