Description

You will lead Snowflake development, architecture, and security for scalable data solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Snowflake schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, and Snowpipes.
• Define and enforce performance optimization best practices, including warehouse sizing, clustering, and query tuning.
• Own Snowflake security architecture, implementing RBAC, role hierarchy, data masking, and row/column level security.
• Perform root cause analysis for job failures and manage month-end closing activities.
• Oversee code promotion across environments using CI/CD practices.

Required Skills

• 11+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud data platforms.
• Advanced SQL, performance tuning, and Snowflake architecture expertise.
• Proficiency with Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and ELT/ETL patterns.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and CDC concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD practices for data promotion.
• Python proficiency for data processing and automation.
• Cloud data platform experience, preferably AWS.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI/ML pipelines, including feature preparation and operationalization.
• Familiarity with Python ML libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy) from a data engineering perspective.
• Insurance domain experience (P&C / Specialty Insurance).
