Description

Lead the design, development, and optimization of Snowflake data platforms, ensuring robust security, performance, and reliable data pipelines for insurance domain applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Snowflake schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, and Snowpipes.
• Define and enforce best practices for performance optimization, including warehouse sizing, clustering, and query tuning.
• Own Snowflake security architecture, implementing RBAC, role hierarchy, data masking, and row/column level security.
• Perform root cause analysis for job failures and execute month-end closing activities.
• Oversee code promotion across environments using CI/CD practices.

Required Skills

• 11+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud data platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Snowflake: SQL, performance tuning, security, and automation.
• Strong background in Data Engineering: ELT/ETL patterns, data modeling, and CDC concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data platform deployment.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with data integration tools such as Talend or dbt.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on exposure to AI/ML pipelines, including feature preparation and model operationalization.
• Experience with Python ML libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy) from a data engineering perspective.
• Insurance domain experience (P&C / Specialty Insurance).
