Description

You will design, optimize, and automate the enterprise data platform in Snowflake on AWS, ensuring high availability and security.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain high-availability production systems, including cost monitoring and query tuning.
• Implement automation for production deployments, account provisioning, and access role management.
• Enforce database security standards, including data masking, encryption, and user auditing.
• Diagnose database errors, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and optimize query performance and index design.
• Manage cross-cloud replication and data sharing for internal and external clients.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Snowflake on AWS.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Shell scripting for data pipelines and automation.
• Experience implementing Snowflake external functions and monitoring architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security controls: SAML, SCIM, OAuth, encryption at rest/motion, and key management.
• Demonstrated ability in query plan optimization, index design, and capacity planning.
• Familiarity with AWS CLI, networking, and AWS alerting/monitoring tools.
• Understanding of Agile and DevOps concepts for CI/CD integration.
• Snowflake Advanced certification required; SnowPro Core certification preferred.
