Description

Lead technical implementations within a Snowflake environment and manage end-to-end cloud data migrations from on-premise RDBMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Snowflake cloud data migrations from on-premise systems like SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata.
• Design and implement data models, ELT processes using Snowflake SQL, stored procedures, and Snowpark components.
• Own the resolution of complex data pipeline issues and provide technical direction to the team.
• Manage data security through RBAC policies, dynamic masking, and secured views.
• Drive technical delivery using Agile development methodologies in a customer-facing capacity.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Proven experience as a technical lead in a Snowflake environment.
• SnowPro Core Certified Professional certification.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and Snowpark implementation.
• Expertise in complex SQL, Snowflake SQL, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, S3, SnowPipe, SnowSQL, and the Copy Command.
• Experience with Unix Shell Scripting.
• Background in migrating data from SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata.
• Knowledge of data access controls and security design.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Airflow and Snowflake data unloading utilities.
