Description

You will lead the architecture and design of complex data solutions on Snowflake, driving technical strategy and engineering excellence across cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design complex data solutions on Snowflake, including data models, ingestion pipelines, and transformations.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and problem-solving.
• Optimize Snowflake performance by tuning queries, managing warehouse configurations, and resolving scalability issues.
• Implement ETL/ELT processes and data security measures to ensure data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Own the technical documentation process, including High-level Solution Design and Detailed Design.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and technical leadership.
• Expertise in Python, PySpark, and Java.
• Deep knowledge of the Snowflake platform, including Data Sharing, Data Exchange, and Internal Marketplace.
• Experience building cloud-native solutions using AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift) or Azure stacks.
• Proficiency in notebook development using VSCode and performance improvement practices.
• Strong understanding of Big Data principles, MS Fabric, and OneLake.
• Experience with open data formats such as Iceberg and Delta.
• Ability to integrate Snowflake with non-Snowflake clients and manage cloud-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working within SAFe Agile frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building Data Mesh architectures and Data Products.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Azure stack components like ADLS2.0, ADF2.0, and Synapse.
