Description

You own the full System Development Life Cycle for a multi-tiered complex system, handling new development and maintenance. You analyze requirements, design systems, and present solutions to technical communities. You write and tune SQL, design DB2 tables, and manage data mapping and conversion scripts. You perform unit and integration testing, provide production support, and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and produce detailed design documents and program specifications.
• Develop, test, and deploy Java applications using IBM Rational Application Developer.
• Write, tune, and maintain complex SQL statements and DB2 database schemas.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
• Mentor less experienced staff and develop technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years experience with government taxation or budget organizations.
• Strong Java programming using IBM Rational Application Developer (RAD), deployed to WebSphere or Open Liberty.
• Proficiency in J2EE technologies: EJB, JDBC, JSP, XML, and Java Batch Jobs.
• Experience with IBM EAD4J and JADE frameworks.
• Extensive IBM DB2 experience, including XML schema definition, querying, and automated generation.
• Performance tuning for database-interacting applications.
• Experience with IBM MQSeries or Kafka.
• Proficiency in writing and tuning SQL statements.
