Description

Lead the architecture, design, and development of large-scale distributed systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture blueprints and technology roadmaps with product and engineering teams.
• Design and implement microservices-based systems using cloud-native AWS architectures.
• Conduct design and code reviews to enforce quality, performance, and coding standards.
• Mentor engineering teams through complex architectural decisions and technical challenges.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of software development experience, including significant time as a software architect.
• Expert proficiency in Java (Java 21+) with hands-on coding ability.
• Solid experience in Python and Django for building scalable web applications.
• In-depth experience designing and implementing microservices-based systems.
• Strong expertise in secure AWS architectures, including CUI on AWS GovCloud.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Strong system design and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with government cloud compliance requirements.
