Description

You will design and oversee large-scale IT projects and cloud migrations, owning the technical direction from planning through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute migration of monolithic architectures to microservices.
• Lead Java version upgrades, specifically migrating from Java 8 to Java 22 and updating associated frameworks.
• Design and implement cloud solutions using AWS, GCP, or ServiceNow.
• Optimize cloud-hosted applications, manage system security, and control versioning.
• Evaluate vendor products based on utility and cost to drive architectural recommendations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software architecture and development.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, NodeJS, and React.
• Hands-on expertise with Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Salt/Chef/Puppet, and GitHub.
• Proven ability to build and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with API and serverless architectures.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies using Jira.
• Ability to use logic to identify strengths and weaknesses in alternative technical approaches.
