Description

You manage the full SCM environment, including application, OS, and server hardware, while driving automation for large-scale infrastructure.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to GitLab upgrades, migrations, and architectural reviews.
• Deploy automated improvements to hundreds of systems using orchestration tools.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement systemic fixes for reliability issues.
• Evaluate technology alternatives and specify solutions for global team projects.
• Configure and deploy Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SCM processes and large-scale GitLab environments.
• Strong scripting and object-oriented programming skills in Python, Ruby, or Perl.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• DevOps or system administration expertise on Linux (Rocky Linux 8, CentOS/RHEL, Ubuntu).
• Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
• Deep understanding of continuous delivery pipelines and release management.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience; MS preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with other SCM tools like Perforce, Subversion, or ClearCase.
• Familiarity with design patterns and solid software engineering practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
