Description

You will design, develop, and implement software applications using C and C++ to support business requirements.

You will own the full development lifecycle, from design documentation to debugging and performance tuning. This role involves porting applications to set-top boxes and consumer electronics while collaborating with QA teams to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications using C and C++ following approved lifecycle methodologies.
• Resolve technical issues, crashes, and bugs through deep research, investigation, and debugging.
• Port and implement applications on set-top boxes and consumer electronics devices.
• Fine-tune systems and analyze performance metrics, publishing results as needed.
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to provide technical support and troubleshoot issues.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ languages.
• Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented design methodologies and design patterns.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX environments and build/debug tools.
• Proficiency in shell scripting, Perl, or Python.
• Working experience with JavaScript and Node.js.
• Experience working with databases, preferably Oracle.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and defect tracking systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
