Description

You will develop and maintain database-driven applications using Java, focusing on distributed systems, data persistence, and automation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain high-quality Java code for database integration and distributed systems.
• Implement database logic ensuring consistency, connection pooling, and robust retry mechanisms.
• Manage data persistence across both relational and NoSQL architectures.
• Develop Unix shell scripts to automate operational tasks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming.
• Deep understanding of database concepts including ACID, CAP theorem, and consistency models.
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL database types.
• Knowledge of Unix shell scripting (Bash or Korn).
• Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization tools including VMWare, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Docker.
• Understanding of driver-specific features such as tunable consistency or durability settings.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multiple cloud providers beyond the primary stack.
