Description

You will develop controls and application software logic for ECU applications within the Cab-Body-Chassis domain.

Responsibilities

• Develop controls software requirements and algorithms using embedded software development tools and processes.
• Perform functional verification and testing via data-replay, plant-based closed-loop simulation, HIL, engine dyno, or vehicle testing.
• Solve and implement solutions for control software issues and perform root cause identification.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams and participate in peer reviews to improve products and development processes.
• Create technical documentation to ensure process compliance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development or related engineering roles.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded software development.
• Experience with Matlab and Simulink.
• Knowledge of in-vehicle communication protocols including J1939, UDS, and XCP.
• Experience with vehicle, powertrain, or engine controls system design.
• Hands-on experience with software debugging and testing tools such as CANalyzer and debuggers.
• Familiarity with engineering and quality methodologies like 8D, FMEA, and DVP&R.
• Competency in MS Visio and software configuration management tools.
• Understanding of full software development life cycle, including coding standards and build processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with software optimization, instrumentation, and tracing.
