Roles & Responsibilities:

• Take part in the architecture, design, implementation and deployment of large-scale and complex software systems
• Build and scale systems powering Amazon's fastest delivery promises including Same-Day Delivery, Grocery, and Rush programs
• Own services spanning package injection, staging, sortation, and routing that keep millions of time-critical orders on-time
• Partner with product, science, and operations teams to launch new speed programs and expand grocery delivery into new regions
• Leverage experience and expertise to deliver innovative solutions to challenging distributed-systems problems at scale
• Communicate ideas effectively to achieve the right outcome for your team and customers
• Collaborate with others to increase the effectiveness of the overall team and set great examples for other engineers
• Impact technical decisions in the broader organization and mentor other engineers in the team
• Work on live, sub-hour delivery network systems where reliability and latency are non-negotiable requirements

Experience Required: Software Development Engineer II level experience with large-scale distributed systems, cloud technologies, and complex software system architecture and deployment
