Description

You will develop, maintain, and enhance critical surveillance systems using Java EE technologies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement code changes, enhancements, and bug fixes for modules like vectors and disease surveillance.
• Participate in system design meetings to translate user requirements into business rules, use cases, and web page mockups.
• Design data logic, physical models, and execute data migration rules.
• Perform unit and regression testing to ensure system stability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for system specifications and designs.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with Java SE, JDBC, Java Servlets, and JavaScript.
• 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, and deploying Java SE applications.
• 7+ years of experience with relational databases, SQL, and database modeling.
• 7+ years of experience with web services and Java-based service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• 7+ years of experience in system design and writing system specification documentation.
• 7+ years of experience using unit testing frameworks and CVS source code control.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with public health or surveillance system data structures.
• Familiarity with legacy system modernization and data migration strategies.
