Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise software applications.
  • Design, code, and modify complex programs, subroutines, objects, classes, and scripts.
  • Develop front-end application components using Angular.
  • Develop back-end applications and services using C# and ASP.NET.
  • Create and maintain Oracle database objects, triggers, stored procedures, and related components.
  • Analyze complex business processes and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Prepare program specifications, system logic, and technical designs.
  • Test and evaluate new and existing applications.
  • Generate test data and develop test scripts and execution sequences.
  • Review test results and troubleshoot identified errors.
  • Debug application defects and resolve production-support issues.
  • Improve application performance and implement requested enhancements.
  • Follow established programming, documentation, testing, security, and development standards.
  • Participate in peer reviews and code reviews.
  • Confirm that applications meet technical, business, security, and quality requirements.
  • Protect the integrity of enterprise data and associated processing systems.
  • Work within Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, UX designers, and systems analysts.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and their potential use within the organization.
  • Prepare technical documentation and communicate project status, risks, and issues.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have at least seven years of experience in the following areas:

  • Computer programming, systems analysis, and software development.
  • Analyzing and developing solutions for complex business processes.
  • Coding, testing, and debugging applications under development or production support.
  • Resolving application defects, performance problems, and enhancement requests.
  • Processing information logically and designing program and system logic.
  • Preparing program specifications and technical documentation.
  • Developing or supporting complex applications using technologies such as Angular, C#, ASP.NET, and Oracle.
  • Understanding software and application architecture concepts, principles, and tools.
  • Applying architecture principles across applications, information, infrastructure, and organizational systems.
  • Protecting enterprise data and associated processing environments.
  • Following organizational technology practices, standards, and procedures.
  • Working with Agile or Scrum software-delivery methodologies.
  • Understanding IT industry trends, technology direction, and market developments.
  • Evaluating established and emerging technologies.
  • Communicating effectively through written and verbal channels.
  • Collaborating with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrating strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of familiarity with HHSC information architecture and information-management methodologies.
  • At least two years of familiarity with existing and planned software technologies.
  • At least two years of knowledge of global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure components.
