Description

You will design and implement Hadoop analytics infrastructure applications based on client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve open-source distributed computing platforms and data storage frameworks.
• Deploy and operate Hadoop and Spark clusters at scale.
• Drive cost savings in Hadoop compute and storage through efficiency efforts.
• Analyze and integrate user requirements into software solutions.
• Travel to various client sites within and outside of New Jersey as required.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency with Hadoop ecosystem components.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark.
• Experience deploying and managing services on AWS Cloud.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or foreign equivalent.
• Ability to translate client specifications into technical solutions.
• Experience with distributed data storage frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure.
