Description

Lead application development and system administration for enterprise client applications using Java. Own the technical planning, architecture design, and implementation of enhancements while mentoring staff on standard practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain system architecture, business process modeling, and workflow engineering.
• Lead technical planning, project estimation, and the implementation of application enhancements.
• Mentor and train development staff on standard practices, tools, and enterprise development standards.
• Monitor technical activities for adherence to schedules, milestones, and quality assurance procedures.
• Manage the uplift of legacy technologies to modern, state-of-the-art versions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development and technical architecture within an enterprise software suite.
• Proficiency in J2EE, JSP, Struts/Spring framework, and Java Scripting.
• Hands-on experience with XML, WebSphere, JUnit, and Web Services.
• Working knowledge of SOAP, JMS, and WSDL.
• Experience with Eclipse and Object Oriented Design.
• Ability to translate highly technical concepts for both technical personnel and non-IT business users.
• Proven skill in preparing implementation plans for multiple platforms.
• Experience with Oracle Databases and Utilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with the React framework and IIS.
• Knowledge of the CuraM software suite and North Carolina DHHS Business IT Functions.
